Xplosion Timing was started in 2009 by LLC member, Michael A. Jurries. Mike is a native of Boise, ID and has a passion for athletics. He was a four sport letterman at Capital High School. Upon graduation he attended the United States Air Force Academy. At the Academy, Michael played football for the "Falcons" as a Strong Safety under Coach Fisher DeBerry, playing in both the 1987 Freedom Bowl vs. Arizona St, and the 1989 Liberty Bowl vs. Ole' Miss. Michael also served for one year as the Defensive Coordinator for the USAFA Prep School Football team. Upon graduation in 1990 Mike was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force, and went on to train in the F-15C Eagle. After ten years in the Air Force and numerous assignments, Michael and his wife Cindy moved to St Louis in 2000, where he was assigned to the famed 131FW Air National Guard Unit "Lindbergh's Own" at Lambert IAP, St Louis, MO, while also flying for United Airlines as a First Officer in the Airbus A-320. Currently, Michael is flying with the 131BW, Missouri Air National Guard at Whiteman AFB. Over the last several years, Mike and his family have become heavily involved with the local USATF Region 9 and AAU Area 11 Track & Field Youth Programs. His children Lizzy, Nathan, and Kaviana, all participate in Track & Field and Cross Country. Mike understands the importance athletics can play in kids' lives and is committed to providing youth in the local area opportunities to excel and compete in their athletic endeavors. Recently, Mike has been a coach for the youth soccer programs in University City and Clayton in both indoor and outdoor soccer. He also has volunteered for several years as an assistant coach with the University City Xplosion Track and Field Club, while helping organize several yearly youth association meets.
